About the Get a Girl Going Contest

The Get a Girl Going Contest is an online competition created to highlight organizations in Atlanta, Chicago, and Seattle committed to teaching girls the importance of sports and physical activity. The contest invited community organizations to submit online applications describing how they plan to have girls in their communities live healthier, more active lifestyles. Finalists were selected in all communities, each receiving a $1,000 grant and a mini camera. Each finalist has been responsible for compiling a video of their program explaining how they get their girls going. Now, they need your help.

Visit the Get a Girl Going Community Pages and vote for the organization that gets girls moving the best. A winner from each community will be selected to receive grants up to $10,000 from the Women’s Sports Foundation. GetaGirlGoingContest.org will host online voting through August 31st.
